Two Thousand and Eleven

There were many things I said I wanted to do in 2011. Some of the things I accomplished include:  cooking more; cooking more healthily (primarily thanks to this woman); reading more books (favorites: the His Dark Materials series; the Hunger Games trilogy; and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle); starting to compost; getting a new (used) car; and seeing my beautiful friend, Karen, marry the love of her life. Not so much an accomplishment, but I also got engaged to the love of my life last year!

This year, I'm trying to focus on my fitness and holistic well-being. I joined a gym and I'm making efforts to eat better. I've avoided making new year's resolutions and instead I've opted for a more rounded focus on health and stress management. What are your goals for 2012?
Books read so far: Push by Sapphire; Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling.
Currently reading: The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan.
